This year we are MIXING things up a bit with 1 Keynote guest speaker and a panel of experienced photographers for Q&A in a format I like to call “You Can’t Ask That!?!?” This is where you are going to ask your burning questions on pen and paper in the mystery question box for our panel to answer. This is Anonymous so you can go to town with your questions!

You also get to meet some of the best suppliers and get your hands on some of the industry’s best photographic products and services in Australia. As they will all jump up on stage to answer questions about themselves and how they can help your business in “The Hot Seat”

This event is an epic night with lots of fun and laughter, plus some business talk too. It’s a cocktail-style event and includes food throughout the evening. Not to mention the $100’s of door prizes from each of the suppliers!

Plus have a great social night out and meet like-minded photographers! 

FYI – If you can’t make the evening but you want to meet the suppliers, the doors for the expo only will be open from 3-5pm. Yes, you need to get yourself a ticket for this entry too.

Workshop: Doors open at 11:30am. The workshop officially starts 12pm to 4pm.

Expo & Industry Night: Doors open for the tradeshow at 3 to 6pm. The evening officially starts 6pm to 9pm.

The 2023 industry night was amazing! It was awesome being able to meet photographers face-to-face after the long lockdown. Keynote speakers were full of valuable industry knowledge and tips, it was lovely to meet the industry suppliers, getting the touch and feel of their products plus special discounts for attendees. The food and atmosphere were fantastic, great draws and prices too! I loved every part of it and look forward to attending one this year, thanks Mark for putting this together!

Karen Lynch

An Adelaide Family and Newborn Photographer for over 15 years, Karen Lynch has more than this role in her life.

Having photographed hundreds of families and countless weddings all around Australia, Karen is a registered Marriage Celebrant, a Master Photographer with the (former) AIPP and has been awarded SA AIPP Family Photographer of the Year three times. She is a proud Heartfelt Photographer of over 13 years. To add to her roles, she began her studies in Psychological Science in mid 2023.

But by far her greatest role in life is being mum to three incredible kids, Harry, William & Grace.

Karen has always known the importance of celebrating and capturing life and the people she loves in photographs. But in August 2023, her beautiful, healthy, 14 year old son, William, passed away, and these images are now her most precious possessions.

Learning to navigate the world with one piece of her heart missing, Karen has lent on the ‘magic portal’ granted to us by the power of photographs – she has become a living, breathing example of why, as photographers, we do what we do.

Karen shares not only from a perspective of the gift we give our clients, but the importance of being in your own family photographs, valuing your time away from family and friends, and running a healthy and sustainable business.

By sharing her story she hopes photographers find the courage to value their skills, embrace being in front of the camera, and truly believe in the power of a photograph.
