First question: “Does your priceless help get you to your Weekly Magic number?”
Let’s kick things off with Reviewing your pricelist — not just for what’s on it, but how well it’s actually performing for your business.
Your pricing should be three things: Clear (to you and your clients)
Profitable (you’re hitting your magic number)
Confidence-building (you can say it out loud without flinching, maybe just a little bit)
Start by printing out your current pricelist. Then, open your client records or sales data from the past 6–12 months and look at what’s actually been purchased — not just what’s offered.
Here are some things to look for:
- Are your best-sellers the ones you want to be selling?
- Are you consistently reaching your weekly target or magic number?
- Are there products that never get ordered?
- Are there products that anchor your pricing but push people toward better packages?
Now’s the time to consider what phase of business you’re in and whether your pricelist aligns:
- Phase One: All-inclusive, digital file focus, keep it simple.
- Phase Two: More structured pricing — think basic packages + You have a full range of finished artwork and products
- Phase Three: Confident in selling your products and have a proven track record. You can build a product-led experience with higher touchpoints and add-ons.
Also, listen closely to your clients:
- What are they asking for?
- What are they confused by?
- What are they consistently buying — even if it’s not your top-tier package?
Remember: If it’s easier to understand, it’s easier to buy.
ACTION STEP:
- Print your pricelist — get it physically in front of you.
- Export your sales data from the last 6–12 months. Highlight:
– Best-sellers
– Least popular products
– Average spend per client - Check each item/package for actual profit:
– Are you pricing for profit, not just affordability?
– Does your pricing align with your magic number (from Day 4)? - Remove any deadweight products that never sell (unless they act as a psychological nudge toward better offers).
- Simplify or restructure if you’re seeing resistance or confusion in the buying process.
- Ask yourself:
What do I want to be known for?
Is this pricelist supporting that direction? - Update your price list on your website, emails, printed materials client lounge, etc. 8. Pricing for profit masterclass
